Comments: : : : Star Trek: Voyager : : "Said the Spider to the Fly" Episode Treatment. : : Voyager has stopped in space to try and re tune the overstressed warp engines. After realignment they test out the engines and pass close to a starsystem. Suddenly Kim announces that an energy burst has been fired at them from the system. Janeway calls for evasive action, but to no avail. The energy glances off the rear. : : On the brdge Janeway calls for a damage report. Kim says that the warp systems have been disabled and that some minor power conduits have been broken. Torres reports that it will require a few hours to realign the warp drive. : : Janeway orders the ship to full impulse and asked neelix to come to the bridge. : : Neelix arrives but is of no help, since Voyager passed out of his area of space. : : Meanwhile Kim picks up a distress signal. Its badly garbled but its coming from the system. : : Tuvok then comes in with an analysis of the energy burst. it was not a weapon, more of a "space flare". It was meant to bring attention to this area. Voyager just happened to be in its path. : : Janeway decides that someone went to a lot of trouble to get their attention and orders Paris into the system. : : In the systme they find debris and wreackage, all apparently masked but some local jamming device. : : The distress call leads them to a planet, but the sensors can't pick up much. Janeway orders a landing party to track down the signla. Chakotay Neelix and Tuvok beam down. : : They find a huge musuem of sorts from all over the area. The entire planet has been shelled out to make room for the "specimens". Neelix recognizes a few Talaxian and Kazon ships. But they weren't damaged at all. Just in stasis. : : As they continue exploring they find the remains of an alien at a computer workstation, long dead. Tuvok tries to interface with one of the computers, but gets shocked. Suddenly some light come on and a hologram appears. It is the dead alien. he welcomes them to his "museum" and apologizes for not being able to shake their hands. They are the first visitors to his private collection. He's been luring starships to his plnat for hundreds of years, bent of creating the most complete collection possible. : : Chakotay tells the fellow about the distress signal. The hologram informs his that its a trap. Soon the signal will disappear and a tractor beam will engage the ship. The tractor will drain the shields and them the power systems. At the same time neutron radiation will pour out at the ship. This will sterilize for stasis. : : Chakotay is stunned. He tries his communicator but to no avail. : : Theres more but I have to run along. : : Later : I'd like to see that on a borg ship.. : maybe add they see a scout borg ship in stasis..
