I realize this is pretty unfair, but why is it necessary for people to say "this site is under construction"? Every site, from Yahoo to HD3 is always "under construction". There is no end. A finished site is a dead site. For instance, my Tour was "finished". I never updated, changed or added. and thus i knew that sooner or later I was going to kill it and move on.
Its okay to start from scratch. i remeber when HD3 came online. Sure it was pretty polished, but nothing compared to today. Rob Chen has been working on this site for two years. Thats a long time, and sveral major layout changes have been made. In fact, Fun Links still doesn't go anywhere!
Don't worry about it, do your best. Its not a competition. However, if you want some advice, work up a full site with all working links and some content before you announce it (not acusing anyone) Just throwing up a front page and a Links to My Favorite sites page is pretty sad.
Just some advice from a web designer with a couple under the belt. Even I mes up. I still can't get my freaking web board s to work!
