The ones between the upper and lower pylons are ports, labeled 1 to 3. Then around the outer ring are smaller bays, labeled 1 to 9 I believe.Then there are six or more docking pads for the runnabouts.

Does it need to be an exact port? I'm sure the Defiant doesn't have a "favorite' docking port. Any old port will do. Unless it been modified and I can't see why it would be.
