When Picard said that the Federation was "beyond" material gains and use of money, it sounded a lot like Communist ideas. He went on to say that in the future they did things with the motivation to benefit the community instead of the individual. Yep.... communism.

Hasn't anyone else wondered why the Feringi are made fun of and take the "capitalist" ideals to the negative extreme?
