Voyager is cool

They are in a unique first contact situation in totally unexplored and unknown space with new
and different species. I think this show is a lot of fun.
I also find a female captain refreshing. When I was growing up there were no strong female
role models on TV. During play time, I always wanted to play with the boy doll because they
were the leaders, the Doctors, the smart and brave people who made a difference. I wish
this show had been on TV when I was a child, I could have had a fine example of a strong,
purposeful, committed, highly educated woman who is feminine, straight, and fun. Of course
I am a little prejudice, I have always liked Kate Mulgrew.
I find the other female characters equally strong and holding positions of great
responsibility instead of the traditional roles of being caretakers to the men.
The male characters are intelligent, caring, dependable, committed, and hansom.
I love the entire cast, including Seven, her skin tight costume doesn't intimidate me or
distract me from the intelligent, intriguing character of Seven, and I hope Voyager will be on
the air for many more seasons.
