: Check out STFCWEB.com, their is a transcript from an AOL chat with Ron Moore, and he says that he will not be writing the next Star Trek movie. He says that the reason why is that Paramount wants the new movie done NOW and he feels that he can't do his best work unless they wait at least a year. What are your thoughts on this? I really can't tell, personally, I would rather see a movie sooner, but I also don't want to see a stupid movie, even if it means waiting another year for it. Do you guys think they should slow down?

If Paramount wants the movie to be written now, I
wonder when they want to release it. Patrick Stewart
said that it would be best to go at least three years
between Star Trek movies. I tend to agree with that
because it would give the public time to build up
expectations and not feel as though they are being
innundated with Trek. I agree that if Paramount wants
to release a successful movie, they should take their
time. I'm willing to be patient and just watch
televised Trek until 1999.
