Voyager off the air and new Trek set to goPosted by Happy Guy on January 15, 1998 at 22:48:48: WooHoo! That crappy show will be off the air by season's end. Berman and the Paramount crew have decided the show can't be saved and are scrapping it. The best news is a new trek show will replace it. It is undergoing development now and should be on the air by midseason next year! Rumors are Riker will be a captain. The reason being Jonathan Frakes will star in the new show. Riker will have his own ship. He may also be married! Worf may be promoted to commander and serve as his XO and Dax will cross-over as a member of the crew at the end of DS9's end. At this point in develpoment the ship will be a steamrunner class.
