Science? The guy is Taurik from TNG "Lower Decks..." That or perhaps Engineering First Assistant Semaj Yorel, a Bajoran dude... He's actually from the Protostar, but I can bring him out to play. :)
I'm also allowed several conn officers, but only one can be lieutenant and that's Stidham allready... You can pick an Ensign, and spout a couple of interesting stories every now and then. It's up to you of course. :)
