Posted by: Brooke on January 30, 1998 at 21:00:14 All the stories in the books can be quite confusing, especially when tying them into the movies, and trying to keep them all in line. As for the RETURN, FC thing, there are 2 books in between those times. From whatI can tell, the books go--- Generations, Return, Ship of the Line (the 1st voyage of E-E, Avenger, then 1st Contact. In Avenger, Kirk is once again alive. I am trying to find the part now, but at one point he explains how the borg survive the blast at V'Ger. If I remember it right, I think they were transported somwhere else. It is a complex book, where there is a deadly virus everyone is trying to cure, and all are in it working together, and even against each other once again. And from the front of Avenger, written by Shanter, he says... "Three is a lucky number. This is the third of a trilogy of novels...All good things come in threes. Now just to louse things up, the plubisher has asked for another two novels..." Let's see if they can get it right. It all does tie in, just hard to follow. I encourage you to get both books, as well as ASHES OF EDEN, which is set six months before the launch of the Enterprise-B, and Kirk's alleged death. It interduces you to a character found in Avenger. (I love to read, and have many of the books, if you can't tell already.)
