Earth and it's Solar System sits on the edge of both Aplha and Beat quadrants. The UFP is spread over those two quadrants, and touches edges with the Romulan Empire and Klingon Empire in the Beta quadrant, whilst in Alpha quadrant it has DS9 and then hits the Cardassian Union.

Hope that helps to sort some stellar cartography out!!
