Syndication vs. Network Broadcasts

The ONLY network that carries Voyager (in the US) is UPN. If your local non-UPN station carries Voyager, then they have signed a syndication "license" (or whatever the term is) with Paramount to also broadcast the series. I'm pretty sure that one of the prime conditions of this agreement is that they are not allowed to broadcast it before the UPN broadcast, so these "other" stations usually put it on the weekend after UPN shows it. That is the ONLY control UPN has over when it's shown: there is no national schedule for FOX, for example, to broadcast it.
