It's a collectable card game. I'm told it's similar to the "Magic" card game, although I've never played that.

The game is a blast. The object of the game is to complete missions. (although some treacherous Romulans think the objective is to blow up the Federation!:)

You choose an affiliation (Federation, Klingon, Romulan, or Borg. Then you form a spaceline with your missions all in a row, or in the case of a 3 player game- the form of a Y. Your opponents seed dilemmas under your missions. Your deck consists of personnel, ships, equipment, events, and interrupts. You move your ships around on the spaceline overcoming dilemmas and solving missions until someone wins with 100 points. Unless there is an unsolved Q's planet on the spaceline, but that's another story....
