OK, we know that it is a long-time Star Trek tradition
to present modern issues in an allegorical futuristic
setting. However, has this tradition been broken in
recent years? Since Gene Roddenberry died, do the
current creators of ST still explore modern issues
the way the original series and the early episodes of
TNG did?
