I was looking through USS Renegade (cool site by the way) and I saw the original letter sent out by Viacom. Your right, it is confusing. I can understand the part about posting scripts or detailed synopses. It might cause people to know the plot and not see the movie. But the sound bytes and pictures? That's wrong. They are the ones who posted all that on MSN anyways. MSN I'm sure has a disclaimer that anything you post on the Internet is subject to be copied and distributed to anyone, and that posting copywrited material is illegal. I mean, they can't sue themselves, but they have to know that everyone has the right to download their stuff and use it, copywrited or not. And it's not like people aren't giving them credit. It's stupid.
