We at this site like Star Trek. We are glad to see that ST series and movies are still being produced. But, is Roddenberry�s ST still with us? Look at ST:Voyager. Without the uniforms and Trek talk, it would barley resemble the ST that Roddenberry had in mind. ST:DS9 comes closer, but still misses the mark.

What I�m trying to say is that maybe Gene Roddenberry should have destroyed ST. By handing it over to the big studios, the dream eventually became corrupt. The ideals of ST were lost long ago. Yes, thanks to the big studios, the ST is still with us, but not Gene Roddenberry�s ST. Did the ends justify the means?
