:
: : :
: : : That's wonderfull however if it is a 3-D movie there only
: : : five Imax 3-D theaters around the country (plus one in Canada)
: : : which is ok with me because I live 45 min from one ( By the way, if
: : : you've haven't seen a Imax 3-D, it's something you'll
: : : never forgett---so take a trip.) what about all the pepole that would
: : : have to drive hours and take a chance of not getting a ticket,
: : : I hope they give it a little more thougt than they are.
: : : they need to look at the big picture here.

: : I have a brand new Imax about two hours away, but I'd call ahead at leats a week to reserve and buy tickets with my MC. All these theatres should let you do this. Especially considering the nature of the beast.
: : And I think a forty minute movie is twenty minutes to short. Unless they think that the movie is too much of an eye strain for longer viewing. I don't want to drive two hours to watch a one hour movie. St movies have gone up to two hours and are staying there and thats where I like them!
: : Generations was two hours and 19 minutes, how long was First Contact?

: I reffering to a 3-D movie, there just aren't enough
: theaters to give a fair shot at anyone who wants to see it.
: you can't just get in your car and go...if the nerest theater
: is 400 miles away.........oh and believe me 40 min is
: a long time in a 3-D theater---it's nausitaing.

I'm sure they'll find a way to have it #D and non #D. Paramount would never limit its potential audience -That much-.
I see what you mean about three-d Which is wy its still not a viable commercial medium.
But an IMAX Star Trek would rock. I'd have to see it twice, one right after the other. The new theatres have speakers built right into the seats! Full surround sounds! THX or Dolby! With echo location bouncing thingy make it sound slike stuf is to the left or right or just ahead!
Oh yeah, that would rock!
I still want to see the Special Effects one! With the new Star Wars footage!
