I am in agreement here. Paramount should wait two to three years and build up the expectation of a new movie plus give the new film a bigger epic feel than First Contact. But I want something that deals with exploration and discovery so it can generate interest in the space projects happening with the space station and going to Mars fever. Star Trek should be the flagbearer to getting the next Millennium started.

: : : Check out STFCWEB.com, their is a transcript from an AOL chat with Ron Moore, and he says that he will not be writing the next Star Trek movie. He says that the reason why is that Paramount wants the new movie done NOW and he feels that he can't do his best work unless they wait at least a year. What are your thoughts on this? I really can't tell, personally, I would rather see a movie sooner, but I also don't want to see a stupid movie, even if it means waiting another year for it. Do you guys think they should slow down?

: : It thinks the're is to much happening in Startrek rate now with the dominion at war, and well voyager's voyager. Unless the new movie is all about the war with the dominion and the enterprises involvment, it won't be consistant.

: I agree, with all of the great stuff that is happening on DS9, I do not hunger for a new
: movie. They should take their time and get it right.
