Andy Dick: poor casting
Posted by: Daimon Bok on January 22, 1998 at 17:17:07 After watching "Message in a Bottle", I couldn't help thinking that the people who program EMH's are a very effeminate bunch of lads. On a practical note, this was a hell of an opportunity to get a really vibrant actor in there and do something cool with that awesome role. Instead, and I am not being homophobic or anything (and I do realize the character was supposed to be prissy and uptight) they had an actor who looked and sounded like he would have been happier watching a Bette Middler movie and smoking Virginia Slims. It was a great episode regardless, although they completely skirted the Doctor/Starfleet communication. Any thoughts? Follow Ups:
