'New Frontier' features one of the most intriguing crews featured in all of the series so far. Some familiar faces (Shelby, Lefler, Selar) and some GREAT new characters, especially Capt. Calhoun and chief engineer Burgoyne 172. The novels are written by Peter David, and I have no idea if there are plans for televizing them. And I don't care, really, for the novels themselves are so good they will satisfy the appetite of anyone looking for a new perspective on the series.
